I came across an old cassette tape of my Dad's a while ago, "Fairouz in America', and might have had it on repeat for a wee while ;) I've had a look on iTunes and they don't have that album. They also don't have her latest album, Eh Fi Amal. What they do have isn't very well organised, and they don't seem to have cross referenced the different spellings of her name or the names of the songs, so it's hard to know what to buy. My patience for listening to 30 second clips of songs is severely limited. I like her music, I just need somewhere to start!

Same goes for Umm Kulthum; like the music, no idea where to start! I would be very grateful if anyone had any recs/hints/tips/clues :D

I don't know if this kind of post is allowed-if not please feel free to remove-I saw this community while searching for traditional music. I like Shamisen music a lot. So I'd really like to receive some artist suggestions if you please. As soon as possible I will try to send some samples from traditional music of Turkiye, especially from Ege Region only if you like. Thanks a lot for your efforts, it's a really nice community.

The Mummers' Dance (Dance single version) - Loreena McKennitt

Most everyone's heard the original of this song, but this version is one you might dance to. :)
